This afternoon Sightseeing Bangkok tour takes you the Jim Thomson's Thai House (King of Thai Silk; and Suan Pakkard Palace which was opened to public in 1959, famous for its several lacquer pavillions. Moreover, it contains many collections of ancient Thai arts and artifacts. (also known as the Lacquer Pavillion). Then continue to the golden-teakwood palace of Vimanmek Mansion, used to be the Royal palace, and nowadays opened as a Museum (opened daily from 09:30-15:15).

Jim Thompson House is a house; belong to the late James H.W. Thompson who came to Thailand as an officer in the US force during World War II. The name Jim Thompson became synonymous with Thai silk. He had arranged for dismantling of ancient teak houses from various place and reassembled on the bank of Sansap Canal in Bangkok. He mysteriously disappeared during a visit to the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia in 1967.

Suan Pakkad Palace; used to be the residence of Princess Chumbhotpong Paripatra of Nagor Svarga, one of Thailand's leading art collector. There is a complex of five traditional Thai House, overlooking a beautifully kept garden. They house a large collection of Asia art and antiques.

Vimanmek Royal Mansion: (Castle in the Clouds) this is the world's largest building made entirely of golden teak. Removed from Srichang Island in Chonburi province, it was rebuilt in the Dusit Palace in 1900 by the command of King Rama V
